Our Founder

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, our Founder President, is our inspiration and His Blessings our strength. His Life and Message, are our Goal and Guide. Providing care with compassion and competence, Free of Cost to the ailing and needy is the underlying principle His life exemplifies.

His Institutions and Work of providing quality education and Healthcare, along with basic drinking water to millions, absolutely free of charge to all, are enduring testimonies to His Love and Concern for the needs and suffering of Humanity. Today, He is our beacon of hope and in His Footsteps do we tread to serve the society.

WHO WE ARE

Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust

Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust established in May 1970, is a Public Charitable Trust, under Section 12 A of the Income Tax Act, 1961. It has set up and run Health Care Institutions wherein services to all, irrespective of colour, class, religion, nation or financial status, are provided Totally Free of Cost. The Institutions are recognised by both the Central and State Governments as National Institutions of Public Service

Through the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital it commenced its services in Whitefield in rural Karnataka, serving over Twenty lakh outpatients and conducting over Twenty thousand surgeries in all general specialities from over 1000 villages. Thereafter in 2012, the Trust set upon itself the task to address in part the heavy burden of Congenital Heart Diseases in India and thus set up the country’s first dedicated Child Heart Care Centre was established in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh and commenced its second Centre in Baghola, Delhi-Mathura Road, Haryana in November 2016.

The health of a child is the true wealth of the nation. With over 2,40,000 children born every year with heart disease, a leading cause of Infant Mortality in India, it’s care remains grossly inadequate and beyond the reach of many.

It is to address this acute problem of unavailable and unaffordable quality pediatric cardiac care and more importantly to espouse ‘DIGNITY TO LIFE’ and ‘HEALTHY CHILDHOOD’ as a ‘RIGHT’, that the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital – Centres of Child Heart Care were envisioned.

  • The Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani International Centre for Child Heart Care & Research, located in Baghola, Delhi – Mathura Road, Palwal (Dist.) Haryana – 121102 , is a 200 bedded Super Specialty Hospital, providing Child Heart care TOTALLY FREE OF COST to all, irrespective of caste, religion, nationality and economic status.
  • Built on the principle of “LOVE All – SERVE ALL” as per the tenet of Revered Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who worked tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of Millions the world over, this institution is a labour of LOVE, that was completed in a mere 7 months time from start to finish with the inauguration by Sri Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of India on the 27th of November 2016.
  • We are very glad to announce the full-fledged OPD Services and Registrations commencing from 3 rd April, 2017.
  • Children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease can now undergo comprehensive Medical checkups and register for Surgeries and Interventional Procedures.
  • Patient Registration Timings : 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (except Sundays / Public holidays).

The Trustees

Mr. C Sreenivas

C Sreenivas, M Com M Phil has been associated with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and His various Service Projects in Healthcare, Education, Drinking Water Supply and Rural Service Initiatives for over 40 years. A selfless worker he has built and run several Institutions of Service most notably in recent years the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals – Centres for Child Heart Care, wherein all services are provided Totally Free of Cost to all. His Late Mother Dr C Rajeshwari was instrumental in founding the first General Hospital of Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust. He is presently the Chairman of the Trust.

Dr Ravi Pillay

Dr Ravi Pillay is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. DR Pillay graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1982 and subsequently trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Department of Orthopaedic at the National University of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), holds a Masters In Orthopaedic Surgery (UK) and a Sports Medicine Diploma (Canada).

Mr. S Thiagarajan

S Thiagarajan is a senior industrial relations practitioner and has sat on the boards and committees of several social and educational organisations. He completed his BA (Hons) at Monash University, Australia and the Executive Development Program at North Western University, USA. Thiaga has been a recipient of the Colombo Plan Scholarship (1983), US International Visitor Program (1995) and the Commonwealth Foundation Fellowship (2001). Thiaga was awarded the Public Service Medal by the Singapore Government in 2015.

Mr. Varadarajan Krishnan

Varadarajan Krishnan is CEO of Singapore based – Vital Solutions Pte Ltd. Vital Solutions operates in the supply chain of Paper and Ferrous Metals in many countries world wide.  Krishnan grew up in Hyderabad where he did his Engineering and MBA from INSEAD, France. He has been a devotee of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from childhood and considers being associated with His Service Projects his good fortune.

Dr Shaun Shetty

Dr Shaun Setty is a Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon in Los Angeles, California, USA. He has been practicing for nearly a decade and has been involved with the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani team and hospital since its inception. He had the privilege of performing the first pediatric congenital cardiac surgical cases at the hospital.  He is active in multiple projects including both translational and clinical research as well as humanitarian projects.

Mrs. Sheela Krishna

Mrs. Sheela Krishna is a practicing advocate at High Court of Karnataka & other Courts with an academic background of MA; MBA; LL.B, a mediator & empanelled trainer by MCPC initiated by Supreme Court of India and trains advocates as mediators. She has represented both Central & State as a Government advocate and is an advisor to various Companies, Banks & Hospitals. Her efficiency combined with compassion, devotion & service has brought her into the fold as Trustee – spiritualising the practice of Law.

Chairman’s Message

Love All- Serve All is the cardinal message that Sai Sanjeevani wishes to bring. To every being on this planet, Love remains and will be the most sacred value – one that sustains us, enables growth, furthers progress and unifies the nations of the world. Love when manifest in action becomes Service.

The need today for the country and the world is this amalgamation of Love & Service. Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals were commenced to exemplify these values by healing their very source – The Heart. The Hospitals are one of their kind Centres for Child Heart Care providing Totally Free of Cost Care to the needy, thus restoring “DIGNITY OF LIFE”.

The child is tomorrow’s citizen and the future of the country. Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital endeavours to heal tender hearts in need.

It has been my privilege and my life’s greatest blessing to witness this journey of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani from nothing to grow into an everything, which encompasses all that Swami wanted us to stand for.

Dr Ashish Katewa (MS, MCh)

Dr Ashish is the Head of Department, Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, Center for Child Heart Care at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Raipur. As part of this noble mission since January 2015, he has conducted over 1000 surgeries at the hospital till date.

“ To me the Hospital is a Holy Grail of sorts. In a country where the availability of affordable healthcare is scarce, this Institution makes it possible for a Cardiothoracic surgeon like me to serve the needy in our Country. I am touched everytime I witness parents who become stress free after coming here since they are not plagued by monetary reasons and are able to completely participate in the Healing Process.”

Dr Yogesh Sathe (MD, FNB)

Dr Yogesh Sathe is a Consultant at the Department of Pediatric Cardiology, Center for Child Heart Care, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital. He has been with the hospital since the commencement of our Pediatric Cardiac Services in February 2014.

“I feel very lucky to be part of this Institution that embodies Baba’s tenet – Love All, Serve All, thus ushering further His Divine Mission of providing Quality Child Heart Care Totally Free of Cost to All. Professionally, the Hospital manages and treats a wide spectrum of congenital heart conditions, including some very rare conditions. The journey is an exciting one and I truly look forward to the many more special moments awaiting me.”

Dr Bal Swaroop Sahu (MD)

Dr Bal Swaroop Sahu is a Consultant at the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia and Critical Care, Center for Child Heart Care, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital has been with Sai Sanjeevani since October 2014.

“I always had a keen interest in contributing significantly in my area of work and Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital was like an answer to my search. Having been here for close to 2 years, I find that the most unique aspect of the Hospital is the Doctor – Caregiver relationship filled with mutual love and faith. I get immense internal satisfaction in the joy and smiles I see when children get discharged from this Temple of Healing”

Dr Kanhaiya Lal Gupta (MD)

Dr Kanhaiya Lal Gupta joined Sai Sanjeevani in April 2016 as a Specialist in Pediatriac Care to strengthen Patient Care processes at the Out Patient department of Pediatric Cardiology and the Divine Child Health Program, the screening program of Sai Sanjeevani.

“Sai Sanjeevani is so special for me. Here in one week the variety of complex pediatric cardiac cases I see, I haven’t seen throughout my career.I am so happy that all my experience till now could be of help for the great service that is underway at this Temple of Healing”

Dr Nikhil Shukla

Dr Nikhil Shukla completed his Bachelors from the Government Dental College, Raipur. He set up and managed a dental clinic in Raipur before joining Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital to drive the Divine Child Health Program, the Hospital’s Rural Child Screening Program.

“The Divine Child Health Program has been such a learning for me. It made me confront the truth of how so many children of our country suffer immensely from very common conditions due to inaccessibility of basic healthcare services including diagnostics and treatment. The program has helped us bridge the gap between prevalent health needs and availability of healthcare services.”

Dr. Nishith Bhargava (MBBS, MS, MCH).

Dr. Nishit is part of the Surgery team at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani. Before joining Sanjeevani he served as the Junior Consultant CTVS at Rabindranath International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkota. Prior to this he worked as served in the capacity of Senior Resident in the department of CTVS at Gobind Vallabh Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research.
