Medical and Surgical Care

The Center for Child Heart care at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital provides dedicated services for the treatment of Congenital Heart Diseases and Valvular Heart Diseases requiring repairs. We understand that a hospital visit can sometimes be difficult and overwhelming, and we offer many amenities that we hope will make your time here more comfortable.

We give you here a few details about our hospital so that your experience at our hospital is fulfilling, comfortable and pleasant.

  • Wards: The hospital has two state-of-the-art Intensive care Units (ICUs) and a Step Down ICU. It also has a number of pre operative, post operative and isolation wards. The hospital also has a child-friendly kids observation room where pre-operative children requiring significant medical attention are kept.
  • MatruChhaya: At Sai Sanjeevani, it is strongly believed that parents are always the best care takers. MatruChhaya is our dedication to the parents of the children being operated here. It is in this spirit that separate residential spaces for men and women are made available.
  • Canteen: All patients are provided diet based on individual dietary requirements as recommended by our expert dietician. For Attendants, there is a dedicated attendant canteen to provide for all meals throughout the day, which are provided free for admitted patients.
  • Play Area: The hospital has a bright and colourful play area for pre-operative and post-operative children to play and heal with FUN!
  • Staff Accommodation: Most doctors, nurses and staff live inside the hospital premises, thus making available 24/7 care for patients.
  • Other Sacred Spaces: Universal prayer room for daily prayers, Sri Sathya Sai Sowbhagyam Centre for Human Development.

WHAT WE OFFER

Patient Guidelines

At Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, we strive to make your and your child’s experience as pleasant as possible. The following are some guidelines for the consultation and admission processes at this Center for Child Heart Care.

  • Consultation

    • Outpatient Consultation Timing
      • Patient Registration : Monday – Friday : 8 AM
      • Foetal Echo Cardiography : Friday : 9 AM to 12 PM,with prior appointment.
    • Incase the outpatient for that day is busy, please be prepared to come at the next available date as shall be provide to you.
    • Only two attendants for patients below 12 years and one attendant for patients above 12 years would be allowed inside the Hospital.
    • If you are visiting the hospital for the first time, you would need to register. You will be issued a unique patient ID card. Please carry one Govt id proof.
    • The reports, care advice and surgery dates (where required) shall be provided either the same day in the evening or the day after consultation, based on discussions held in the daily multidisciplinary meeting of the medical team.
    • For out station patients (other than Raipur), accommodation for the patients and attendants as per the previous advice would be provided inside the hospital till next day until the consultation summary is given.
    • Canteen services of the hospital could be availed by the patients and attendants.
  • Admission and Surgery

    • Inpatient Admission Timing : Monday – Saturday : 8 AM
    • Only two attendants for patients below 12 years and one attendant for patients above 12 years would be allowed.
    • Separate male and female accommodation services shall be made available for the above mentioned number of attendants
    • Lunch and Dinner shall be made available for the attendants totally free of cost post admission
    • Attendants are requested to follow medical advice with respect to pre surgery medication, pre operative care, surgery date and post operative care.
    • Patients are particularly requested to be prepared to stay in the Hospital during a varying pre-operative waiting period when the patient is observed by the medical team, before the actual surgery.
    • Attendants should not change without prior permission.
    • In-patient visiting hours are from 4pm to 6pm.Visitors are not allowed to enter wards.
  • Special Instructions

    • The hospital is closed for outpatient services and admission on Sundays and holidays
    • Usage of alcohol, gutkha, cigarette in the hospital premises will not be tolerated.
    • Usage of mobile phones in the hospital premises is not allowed.
    • All patient attendants should wear the tags given to them throughout their stay.
  • Procedures for foreign patients

    For assessing the foreign patients, we need the following reports through mail ([email protected]), which shall be shared with the cardiologist for assessment, before we ask the patient to come to our hospital:

    • Latest ECHO report
    • Latest Weight of the child
    • Saturation levels on room air

    After the Cardiologist discusses with the medical team, if the treatment can be done at our hospital, we initiate the following process for Visa.

  • Visa Processing

    In order to send an invitation for medical assessment, which would help for Visa processing, please note the following:

    • Patient attendants should send scanned copies of the passports of the patient and the patient attendants.
    • They should provide their contact details viz., residence address, contact numbers etc.
    • Only two attendants for patients below 12 years and one attendant for patients above 12 years would be allowed.

    We shall prepare letters for the patient and the patient attendants addressing the High Commission of India in their country and the High Commission of their Country in India; and send a mail with these letters and copies to the concerned patient attendants.

    After Visa is ready, they should inform us so that we shall arrange for OPD date on availability.

  • Note to be sent after Visa is ready (before their travel)

    After they reach our hospital, the next procedures with respect to foreign patients, would be as below:

    • Intimate Foreigner Regional Registration Offices – FRRO, on the day of arrival.
    • Process Registration/Residence Permit of foreign patients and attendants, if required.

    During the stay at our hospital, the foreign nationals should abide by the rules of the country and our organization. Request co-operation. They also should carry two passport sized photos of the patient and the attendants.

    Note:Alcohol and Non-Vegetarian are not allowed in the hospital premises. Translator would be required for language barrier.
